DONATING TO THE NIETZSCHE CIRCLE
In order for the Nietzsche Circle to sustain itself and successfully fulfill its goals, we need to obtain grants continually as well as receive contributions from organizations and individuals interested in the vital possibilities that Nietzsche’s philosophy offers. Such support will help us to meet our operating expenses as well as assist us in continuing to present events that address, forcefully and directly, the exacting questions Nietzsche asked regarding art and philosophy, not emptily glorifying either, but placing both under demanding scrutiny. Donations of any kind, whether of money, services, equipment, or in-kind gifts, are all of great necessity and deeply appreciated.
Whereas membership dues provide a measure of financial support, they are not nearly enough; more substantial contributions are needed in order for us to achieve our goals and sustain the organization. The Advisory Board of the Nietzsche Circle includes not only established artists and writers but some of the most eminent Nietzsche scholars in the world. In offering your support, you are assisting the community to continue actively striving to invent new possibilities of life and to offer activities and events that further explore Nietzsche’s philosophical investigations. A financial contribution is far more than a form of economic sustenance that enables the Nietzsche Circle to continue its work; it is a form of support that identifies you as a member of the Nietzsche community and underscores your recognition of the relevance and need of that community’s work. In an epoch of increasing religious fundamentalism in many denominations, it is all the more imperative. Now, Nietzsche’s work could not be more relevant. As Laurence Lampert said in our recent interview with him, “We have in Nietzsche the first comprehensive ecological philosophy, the first attempt by a comprehensive thinker, a thinker of the first rank, to bring human existence on earth into alignment with existence on earth generally. . . . Nietzsche is the philosopher of our age . . . [his] aspirations are the aspirations of a Plato . . . [and his] teachings may come to be as historically important as Plato’s have been.”
If you wish to assist the Nietzsche Circle in pursuing its goals, please download our pledge form to read of the various levels of support that you can provide and to learn of the benefits that such support yields.
